Where I’d spend most of my time watching the butterflies land on flowers, And the caterpillars in the grass, While other kids played tag. The butterflies always made me think of my sister. They were graceful, And would dance in the air like a ballerina. The splash pad, like a crystal lake- Gleaming all different colors. Me and my bestfriend running through rainbows, Wishing we’d be friends forever. Zanzis pizza on a picnic table every Friday, Enough for a family of 6. Memories of red kool aid Dripping on the hot concrete below. My sister, Anna, jumping across giant rocks as if they were asteroids in space. Mary Virginia Crites Hannan Park, My forever home.
